Izzy von Iserlohn is the most endearing and handsome 6-7 year old German Shepherd with a possible Corgi in his ancestry lineage.  Our staff immediately surrounded this mature lover boy when he stepped off the Freedom Van from a high-kill shelter – he’s just so irresistible.  Like many dogs whose puppy habits are a thing of the past, “Iz” charms us with his easy-going personality, acclimation to change and appreciation for affection.  Possibly housebroken, he walks next to you on leash and meets other canines in a gentlemanly fashion, whether touring the neighborhood or joining in play groups, though he wants to be your “one and only” when you’re in the act of petting him.  Izzy likes low-to-middle energy dogs like himself.  Senior dogs like “Iz” are growing in popularity these days because they are usually low maintenance yet still manifest the loyalty and security for which shepherds are renowned.
